In the Wednesday, January 18, 2023, full episode recap of CBS’ Bold and the Beautiful, Carter comforts confused Katie, Sheila tells Bill he’s her miracle, and Steffy and Finn explain what happened to Li.
We also have Tuesday’s B&B recap where Katie thought Sheila had done something to Bill and begged for answers until Bill sided with Sheila, who kicked Katie out.
Finn sits by the fire in the cliff house and thinks about how lousy his day has been. Steffy joins him and tells him how enraged she is about Bill freeing Sheila.
As she stretches her leg over to him and he starts rubbing her feet, his mom bursts in, asking if it’s true that Sheila is out of prison.
She takes a drink and tries to wrap her head around them explaining Bill and Sheila are in a relationship.
They add that they were blackmailed into not pressing charges. That’s why she’s free.
Li is shocked.
They can’t explain the details. If they could have told Bill to go to hell, they would have.
Unless Sheila commits a new crime, they can’t put her away. Even then, Bill could just buy a new judge.
Leaping up, Li refuses to accept this and declares that she will testify against Sheila. She remembers when Sheila tried to kill her by driving her off the road.
If they won’t press charges, she will.
Finn understands the desire, but she can’t do it. She’s included on the blackmail threat. Bill said he would expose her for what she did to get Finn out of the hospital.
Her son won’t let her be punished for saving him. Steffy says it’s not worth the risk.
She’s confident that this is only a temporary win for Sheila and Bill. She doesn’t know how, but they are going down.
At Bill’s, Sheila comes down in her negligee and clears her throat. He thinks she’s beautiful.
He’s been getting outraged calls and texts from his sons and has made it clear he’s not available to be yelled out.
It’s been a long day and he wants to end it alone with her. They kiss.
She doesn’t think life can get any better than being in a beautiful home with a beautiful man.
They toast to being misfits. To hell with what anyone thinks. She has all she wants with him.
As they lunge on the couch, she stops herself from thinking about revenge for the evening. A day ago she was in a dank prison and now she’s in a Bel Air mansion.
He’s a true miracle in her life. They kiss.
He’s not going to judge her. He recalls dumping Ridge out of a helicopter and blowing up Spectra Creations.
She admires how he handles obstacles. No one can understand his pain like she does. Being abandoned over and over does damage.
He flashes back to Katie dumping him. Bill can’t stand people walking out on him.
Sheila assures him that will never happen with her. They make out.
After they have sex on the floor in front of the fire, she tells him he’s a miracle and makes her feel loved.
She notices he’s quiet and staring. After she promises not to exploit his vulnerabilities, he tells her he’s struggled with his feelings.
Every time he thought he found love it slipped away or he pushed it away.
For years he tried to fit in with the Logans and the Forresters, but he couldn’t. He’s a different breed.
Sheila says he doesn’t have to try with her. She loves the man he is, the man with the sword.
He tells her that works both ways. She’s what he needs and he loves her. They kiss.

Katie and Carter are at Forrester Creations. She admits things didn’t go as she expected with Bill. She can’t understand what “that horrible woman” has done to him.
He’s totally under her spell. Seeing Sheila “holding court” in her old house was crazy.
This is all so baffling to her. She knew he was going through something dark and deep, but to do something like this…
Will already knows how dangerous Sheila is. What will he think?
Carter comforts her and suggests they get out of there and clear their heads. She just wants to stay there.
All of this seems unreal. Nothing she said to Bill got through to him. He even kicked her out.
She doesn’t want her son anywhere near Sheila.
Carter repeats her promise to be there for her and Will. She rests on his shoulder.
